Pneumonia

It's been a long day! I took Tucker to the Dr today as he had a fever yesterday and this morning still and has had a runny nose and cough for a few days. Dr. Juarbe (the best pediatrician ever) had the nurse give him a breathing treatment and then Dr. Juarbe came back in and told us he wanted to send him to get a chest x-ray and bloodwork. He said he was being very agressive and not to worry, he just wanted to know Tucker was OK since he'll be out of the country for a couple weeks.

I'm so thankful for an agressive Dr. They saw a small patch of pneumonia in Tucker's lungs. He's caught it early and is treating it VERY agressively. But, please pray for our little boy. That God will touch his lungs and body. He's still running a temp, but it's getting lower. It was only 101 before he just went to bed. He's on prednisone to help his breathing, the nebulizer for obvious reasons and some Zithromax. We'll go back to Dr. Juarbe as soon as he's back in town. And of course, if he gets worse in the meantime, we'll get him in to the other Dr. there.

I took a couple pictures tonight while Sep was giving him one of his breathing treatments and then took a video because he calmed down when he saw me turn the camera on. He's such a precious boy. What an ultimate gift from God. And to think, God wants to entrust us with another one of his children...what a gift. Truly.

Christmas & 6-month Pictures!!!

Tucker had a photo session at Sears today. They turned out great!
By the way...Tucker says DaDa all the sitnkin' time now. I think I heard Mama once yesterday...now wait until he knows what he's saying - then it'll be more fun!

Da-Da

It's not too clear, we had dim lights on since the Christmas tree is so pretty with it's sparkling lights, but the sound is great!

Watch it all of the way to the end...it's good stuff!!

Computer Boy...

Tucker likes to look at the laptop when we're working on it. Here he is with Daddy and Mommy. Tucker's fingernails left a good size scratch on his face Saturday morning so I put some neosporin and bandaid on it to hopefully heal it up quick. He was so cute with his Scooby-Doo bandaid!!!

Labor of Love...

Tomorrow our church will have it's Christmas "musical" celebration. The ever so popular Mary, Did you Know? will be sung as well as Labor of Love, and many others. Labor of Love is such a beautiful song written by Andrew Peterson, such God-breathed words. If you haven't heard it...and if you're close by Coleman, MI and would like to join us tomorrow morning services are 8:30 and 11am. We're having a brunch at 9:45...we'd love to see you!

Our New Baby...

We were able to see our new baby yesterday for the first time...we both had that odd kind of "we've been here before" feeling - Oh wait!!! We were just there. And the ultrasound tech at the Dr's office said the same thing - weren't you guys in here not too long ago??? Yes, we were...yes, we still have a "newborn"

Regardless how much in shock I am, Sep is so geeked a new baby is truly a blessing, it really is. What joy a new life brings, joy that comes from HIM alone.

Our new due date is July 26, 2006. (Tucker's b-day is 6/22/06, born a few weeks early) We are exactly 3 weeks less along than we thought we were! (WHEW! That could have caused some heartache come week 40 and still pregnant!) It wasn't a surprise to us that we were not as far along as they had initially figured - to avoid going into much detail for the males - my body was far from back on track since having a baby a mere 4-5 months ago!

We're both so thankful for our wonderful team of doctors - they are the best, and we're not the only ones who think that; our practice is recognized as one of the best in our area and local hospital.

So...onto the pictures you won't really get...it's ok. Jayna said last night when she was looking at them, "Aunt Allison - I don't think there's a baby in there - it just looks like a blob." :) I know..many of you may think the same thing!

The first is the clearest picture that they gave us. You'll see the baby to the left and the yolk sac where the baby has just come from on the right. It is not TWO babies...it looked like that initially and I think I almost passed out. I'm just settling into the thought of ONE more!
The second you can see the baby in the womb very small on the top; but then that's the heartbeat, really a neat picture. We did get to see the heart beating yesterday, so unbelievably small; and then hear the heart beating away at about 150 bpm!

Thank you God for this gift of life. You are such a soverign God - I love that you're the one in control!

Surprise!!

As most of you know, Mom's birthday was Saturday. I wanted something that would throw her whole day off kilter so it wouldn't be as sad of a day for her as it had the potential to be. Well, we did it! Some of our closest friends are in our Sunday School class - they're so dear to us. We really surprised Mom - she had no idea!!!! See the video below and pictures as well. (Thanks, Justin)

No pictures from our afternoon party at our house. Aaron, Jen & family were not able to come as Autumn was still in the hospital, but were adament that we still have our celebration for Mom. We had a nice afternoon together...and then Mom ended her day with Jen & Autumn at the hospital. She did get to see all of her kids on her birthday after all. (Aaron & Jayna showed up for some cake & ice cream a bit later...) :)

Mom is so special and although her day didn't go without thinking about how much she misses Dad she felt very loved. She is such a special Mom & friend. I am so thankful for her.

Catch Up...

It just seems like the week flies right by...here are a few pictures from the week:
Tucker super zonked - the angle isn't that good, but his face was resting on the front tray and he was snooring! It was too cute!
Here's Daddy feeding Tucker while he's sporting his camo bib from Papaw and Mamaw. :)
And finally from tonight, while I was on the phone with Aaron, Tucker started really crying I went into the living room to check on him and he had rolled over (he does this often now) and was stuck face down it was cute...kind of...he was ticked to say the least!

And a new baby update...we have an ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday AM to get a more accurate due date. They've been following my bloodwork for the past few weeks and everything is looking great. In case you're wondering....we're still in shock!
