Please Pray and Praise

Our God is a God of mighty power. He is showing our family that today. Go here to Aaron's post...

http://hessfam.blogspot.com/
I'll post my thoughts later...for now it's rest time for me.

I love the God I serve.

It's Time...

It's time...Jen's water broke at 2am this morning. Aaron & Jen are walking the halls at the hospital and Jayna is running around Grandma's so excited!! I will keep you updated for those of you are interested via this site, but I won't announce it before Aaron & Jen can!!! Sorry!!!

Please pray for
  1. Safe Labor for Jen (She's 36.5 weeks)
  2. Her Dr is not on call, the practice we share with is; please pray that this will go smoothly!
  3. Strength, rest for Aaron as well - he's tired. (he's not complaining, I'm just asking you to pray for this!) :)

And you think you had a bad day...

I was sorting through some old emails at work and found this one Dad had sent onto me when it circulated around here at work. Enjoy!

Somebody's gonna be a big sister soon....

Please pray for Jen and baby (Aaron's wife) if God brings them to mind. Jen started some premature labor last Thursday (34 weeks) and spent the night in the hospital and was put on bedrest for the week. Yesterday at her Dr's appt they sent her back to the hospital where she spent the night last night and is now 35.5 weeks...the Dr wants to get her to 36 weeks and then they'll let her go...so that's right folks - Jayna will probably be a big sister next week sometime! Hopefully Jen will get to come home this evening from the hospital...but no promises, sorry Jen!

In the meantime Aunt Allison has been getting to pick Jayna up from school while Mommy's been on bedrest and yesterday she stayed with us for awhile to...she's so fun. And, Tucker loves to play with her obviously. Here's a photo shoot from Thursday afternoon.

Tucker is 3 mos today and is a growing boy - we're almost fully into 3/6 mo clothes now. He's so precious. He has a runny nose right now and just hates it. I'll have to write in his baby book the day of his "first cold". :)

Mom just recently came across this picture of Dad & me 29 years ago today...love it... Dad just about missed my birth...I was a quick entrance!!

27 Years ago...In case you're wondering, Aaron still tries to blow my candles out for me! Ha!!

And finally, not a birthday photo, but a nice picture of Mom, Dad & I. Mom & I both really like this picture of us at my college graduation. We looked at it together this morning.

I had no idea that today would be a tough day until it hit me when I was leaving for work. I'm so thankful for a loving mother and supporting husband to help me through today. I'm thankful for my Dad in many obvious ways today, and miss him a lot today...next year will be easier, right?

And, finally - what a treat to have my first birthday as a Mother. One of the gifts Sep & Tucker got me was this willow tree angel. How special. I love my boys so much!

Thank you God for the many blessings of love today (Sep, Mom, Mause, Memaw, Jen, Jayna, Aaron, Justin, Brenda, Taylor, Carly, Mary, Tasha, Penny, Mom and Step Dad in law, Tucker, Dave and Rachel, Aunt Vicki) Thank you to all of you who remembered this day and how it is special for me....and to Sep and Tucker for that matter... :) At least I like to think so...

OK!!!!I've tried to link a picture of the Willow Tree Angel too many times and it's not working...they got me "Angel of Mine" which is a mama holding a baby and the motto is: So loved...so very loved

Yes, we're still here...

It's true...we're still here, just adjusting to yet another new schedule. I (Allison) went back to work last week and Tucker had his first week at daycare. They both went well. We loved our time together as a family on Saturday and think Tucker may have even missed us a hair...he wouldn't take a nap most of the day he just wanted to giggle and smile with Mommy & Daddy. It's so fun to come home to him...

Here's a few pictures to share from our holiday weekend in Indiana/Ohio.

Tucker and his Great Grandma Shoemaker (MeMaw) and Buster too...

Tucker and Great Grandma Blunk (Mause)

Here is Papaw (Sep's Dad) loving on "Tuck", as he calls him.

Papaw & Mamaw checking out his cute feet and toes (Sep's Dad & Step Mom)
