2 MONTHS OLD!!

Today Tucker visited his doctor for his two month check-up. Here's what the doctor said.
His weight - 13lbs. (80th percentile)
His height - 231/2 inches long (55th percentile)
And the doctor said that he will be a very big boned boy. We are happy to hear that he may take after his grandpa. That will be great. Those of you who know Terry will know what I'm talking about. I keep checking Tuckers calves to see if he will inherit those too. Ha Ha.

A Few Smiles In The BUMBO!!

We have been busy this last week, but here are a few smiles from Tucker. Enjoy!!

First Campfire

Aaron & Jen had a campfire Friday night. It was a wonderful time. And, Tucker's first!!! Jayna tries a new "do" for Mom.
Sep bouncing Tucker to sleep - he loved the cool breeze outside. And actually slept from 9:30pm - 5:00am this night! Wowee - maybe we should have a campfire every night, eh?
Tucker's "bubble" - I'm so thankful that Tammy (from work) gave this to us. We have gotten so much use out of it this summer!! Thanks, Tammy!!!

The jeep took a rest when Jayna headed to bed. She loves this Barbie JEEP!
Jen is looking so cute these days (not that she didn't before, you know what I mean!!) And, Aaron with his computer at the campfire, what???

Taylor Onesie

Sep bought this onesie at the Taylor Guitar site when we were expecting still. It's too cute! It fits our big boy so well right now.

In case you don't see it - the smiley face on the onesie is made of guitar parts.

Fair Pictures

A few more pictures from the fair...
Aaron & Jayna heading up the big slide
Jayna loved the carousel - she rode it twice!!
Waiting for the ride to start...
Jayna checking it all out and making sure Daddy is right beside her...
Jen, Sep, Tucker & I watched from the sidelines. (Jen is getting cuter and cuter these days even this picture doesn't show her pregnant belly too well...just over 10 weeks to go!)
She was so excited; I wish I took a short video to post. It was a blast to watch her.
Aaron & Jen make their destination - the bottom; Jayna loved it and hated it at the same time.
A family picture...finally!

Fishing Fun

Mom, Tucker, Sep & I went fishing tonight. It was a very nice time.
I was showing Tucker my little fishy I caught...he was excited about it - it just took me too long to take the picture so I caught him mid cry...
After awhile Sep got out his flyrod and the fish loved it! So, did the turtles. It was very entertaining for Mom, Tucker & I to watch as we sat on the bank. Every once in awhile Tucker wanted a closer look of the fishing adventure. We all took turns showing him around, Mom's swooping him up here. He really recognizes her voice like he does Sep & I. It's so sweet.

Yeah! Daddy caught a fish! (Mom & I caught the biggest, right Mom??)

Mom caught the first catfish, I caught a smaller one later. And we all caught plenty of bass, blue gill and sunfish. Fish on for me!
In case you couldn't see the fish (in its greatness) Sep zoomed in for the close up!

Fishing...Part Two

A couple men from church asked Sep to lease some hunting land with them. (This is where we fished) Everytime we take Tucker with us to the land I put his camo on. It warms Sep's heart and gets his camo fix in! ha ha It's cute, probably because Tucker's wearing it.Sep casts out to hook onto the big bass - we know he's hiding in there somewhere! Mom getting another crawler on the hook, those little fish steal the bait left and right! Another, Fish on!!

Zero to Sixty in 5.2

Tucker can go from calm to quite upset in no time. I was taking some pictures of his feet sticking out of the blanket and he got tired of the flash, OK I would have too!!

Table for 4, please

Mom joined us for dinner tonight. We love it when she comes over; she really fits right into things around here. It was a good night to have her (see post below)...she's a good one to spend time with all the time, but especially on tough days. We talked about a lot of memories of Dad around our table tonight, but specifically how in recent years how Dad would repeat stories. Dad & I rode to work together and man oh man did I hear the same stories multiple times!!! We both said in the same breath that we'd hear the stories over and over again to have him here a bit longer. I'm sorry for the downer day in posts...it's a healing day as I see it. When tomorrow comes, I'm a little stronger for making it through today, right? Right?

Growing Quickly

Tucker went to the Dr last week for a rash - it's all cleared up already...sure am glad we went and got a couple antibiotics.

He's 11 lbs 4 oz! Oh my! What a cutie!

How are you doing? Walk away...

Today Tucker and I went to Meijer for a few things. We ran into my dear Aunt Mar (I guess she's my great Aunt, Dad's Aunt). She peeked at Tucker for awhile and we talked about him...

Aunt Mar looks and sounds very similar to her sister, my Grandma Hess (Dad's Mom) who died at the age of 57, when I was in 4th grade. It was a very sad time for me. Aunt Mar & Uncle Don hold a very special place in my heart. And, as many, they loved Dad dearly.
After talking about Tucker and things she looked at me and my tear filled eyes in the Dairy Dept and said, "How are you doing?" There's no way to answer this question still...and she fully understands. So, Aunt Mar did the best thing. Gave me a quick hug and moved on...sometimes it's best to hug quick and walk away when someone is hurting so much still from an untimely death of a loved one, and Aunt Mar fully understands (for reasons I'll post some other day).

So, the reason for this post - it's a tough day for some reason. I'm missing Dad a lot; but at the same time a learning experience for me and maybe one other person who reads this...it's ok to not have some profound words to share with someone who is hurting. Sometimes just a hug is best...hearing "he's watching over you.." really isn't as comforting to me as it is to others. (And a good theological debate if you ask me, but probably not a debate - let's just see what the WORD says)... I've rambled long enough, I'm just missing my Dad a lot today and wishing he was still here. I'm pretty sure he'd be loving Tucker Dale (T.D.) to pieces. By the way for those of you who haven't caught it yet, Tucker was supposed to be Tucker Mason, but after Dad passed we wanted to have a subtle tie to Dad's name, Terry David (T.D.) Thus, the Tucker Dale, and Dale also happens to be a family name on Sep's side. Dad often signed things, TD Hess.

One more time, Man! I miss him!!!

I Love My Mommy

As I was just getting ready to get to bed this evening I turned to see Tucker loving on his mommy. So I threw these on here for you all to see.
Have a great evening.

Blackberry Pictures

Here are some pictures of the blackberry pickers, except myself - I took the photos; but I did do picking as well. Mom, Brenda & Jen put on flannels with 87 degree heat!!! They're crazy! They didn't know I took any pictures...and you can really tell that by one of the photos! Sorry, Brenda! :)
Jen just on the edge of the patch.
The girls helping Mom...Mom is telling them to eat less and put more in the bucket. They couldn't get them in their mouths quick enough!
Sorry, Brenda...We all struck this pose eventually - she just held it longer I guess!
Jayna getting in here share of blackberries.
Taylor checking to see if Grandma is watching her eat ANOTHER blackberry!
8 cups!!! Yes, we finished with 8 cups combined of blackberries. Jen took them all home to do some cooking!
