Reunion

We had a Hess reunion this past weekend. As always, ice cream cones were brought out in the afternoon to get the second wind or the sugar to kick in! Here's our cousin, Holly's little girl, Hannah, enjoying her ice cream cone. Sep couldn't resist taking pictures. She was too cute with it.

One Month Photos

We had pictures done today and they turned out great! Here they are to share! We can't wait until we get more hard copies of them!
We think they all turned out great, but this one just kind of melts our hearts!!!

Puppy Jangles

Thank you Border Family for "Puppy Jangles" (as his tag reads) I think he's pretty cool!

Catch Up

Sorry for the lack of posts...we'll try to get back on track. Aaron said he figured Tucker was sleeping better through the night and that was why I wasn't posting...he's right. Tucker is doing very well. He sleeps from about 9:30ish - 2:30ish and then 3:30ish to 6:30ish. It's so wonderful. I still feel pooped, but I'll get the hang of it! We have lots of pictures. I'll try and catch up with a few..enjoy!
Tucker in his cute ball outfit from Uncle Johnnie! Isn't the hat so cute!!

Tucker ZONKED out during a morning nap.

He loves to take little snoozes in his boppy...we think it's because he feels snuggled. Right, Mause? :) I (Allison) think Tucker looks a lot like Aaron's baby pictures here.I love playing with Daddy!!! It's my favorite time in the evening.Look how big I'm getting - I'm getting so tall!!! Or maybe I just don't curl up in the Newborn ball as much anymore!I'm really starting to enjoy bathtime a lot. Look at my big belly - I just ate!

Stinkerbell

Stinkerbell made it to Jayna's party today - just ask Taylor who was on top of Jayna's birthday cake. It was too cute! We forgot our camera (it's been a whirlwind weekend, I'll post more on that later). I didn't get any pictures of the birthday girl, but she sent Tucker's birthday hat home with him so we took a picture of him wearing it before we got ready for bed.

Being the caring cousin she is, Jayna cut the strings off Tucker's hat so he wouldn't hurt himself. She's such a great girl. We are very blessed with our nieces!

What a Big Boy!!

Tucker's 1 Month appt was today and he is growing leaps and bounds!
Here are his stats from 1 week to 1 month:
7 lbs 11 oz to 10 lbs
19.25 inches to 21.75 inches
Wowee! He is growing so quickly! Here are a few pictures of him. What a treasure he is. He's so loved!!

We Have Power!

Our power came on last night...whew! It's nice to be back into a semi-normal routine again! Jayna was thrilled to have us stay with her and Aaron & Jen were so gracious in letting us invade their basement. I constantly had a visitor with me downstairs - she just loves Tucker. Here's a photo of her. You can see for yourself how happy she is with him. She will be a great big sister in a few short months!

Aunt Linda leaves this afternoon and we have had such a wonderful visit with her. Mark & Becky brought over a great fish fry dinner to Mom's last night and we all enjoyed! We had some good laughs over dinner...even when Aunt Linda was telling lies, right A.Linda?? :) I didn't get any more pics of Aunt Linda's visit. I just didn't take my camera while we were with her. Sorry!

Tucker is really growing...we have our 1 month appt today and Sep got rained out so he'll get to go with us! Yeah! We'll post later the results of the Drs appt and some pics of how much our big boy is growing!

Ins and Outs

Aunt Linda has made it in safely! Mom, Tucker & I met her at the airport yesterday morning and had big hugs all around. Tucker sat next to is Great Aunt on the ride home and they both seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly!
Mom has injured her middle finger this past week while working around the yard...nothing serious at all, but causes enough concern that she doesn't give A.Linda "the bird" while signing this week! Ha! (Mom don't be mortified that I shared your secret!!) Here is a picture of the sisters...
Some big storms came through yesterday evening and our power went out! Estimated restoration time is Thursday at Noon!!!!!! Aaron, Jen & Jayna did not lose power, so we're living downstairs. Yes, this is Tucker's first stay away from home. We now have a love hate relationship with the blessed pack 'n play!! Jayna is an awesome host - she made sure we were all set before we headed to bed tonight.
Tucker made some big eyes at Daddy yesterday while I was burping him, and Sep couldn't resist the photo op. I his facial expression is exactly how I felt when I just read our estimated restoration time!

I LOVE YOU

Most of you know this sign, even ig you're not fluent in sign language....I love you
Sep took this picture tonight when Tucker was sleeping next to him in the boppy. (Man, he loves his boppy!!) Sep thought Tucker looked so cute with his hand rested on his knee; but I think the other hand is pretty cute - looks to me like he's starting his sign language early with a subtle sign to Daddy. Or, maybe he's getting practiced up for Aunt Linda, Mom's sister, who's flying in this morning to visit for the week. Either way, how precious. Watch for pictures from Aunt Linda's visit to arrive in the upcoming days...

Big Boy Bathtime!

Tonight was Tucker's first time in the Big Boy Bathtub - no more sponge baths!!! He was unpleasantly surprised by the first feel of the water. When his bottom hit the water in his little tub he let out the biggest mad scream you can imagine. After we calmed him a bit more we put him back in and he did pretty well. Hope you enjoy the pictures. We sure had a good time...and we think Tucker did too, overall.

Try the next post for pictures....I can't get them to load right.

Bathtime Pictures...

Getting ready to go in...I'm biting my hands I'm nervous. :)
His first feel of the water...
I think I do like it...
It's not that bad...I do like getting my hair washed...
Just get it done, please! Finally done and happy to be getting warm again and dried off!

Psalm 34:1

We think Tucker has beautiful lips - they're formed so beautifully and this picture really shows their detail well. God has created Tucker for a purpose and soon enough Tucker will find where he fits into ministry; and we can't wait to see where God has for this puzzle piece to be placed.

Our prayer for Tucker tonight is:
I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. -Psalm 34:1

Thank you Father, for this dear blessing of your awesome handiwork. Praise You, Father!

Room D109

As mentioned earlier - Tucker was born in the same room that Carly was about 8 weeks prior. I was looking through some pictures this morning and saw that we had a picture of Mom in the same place that Dad held Carly.

The only difference is the lighting and the curtain is pulled so you can't see out the hallway. Either way, I thought it was neat so I put a little something together.

Long Time Waitng

Hello all,
Last night I was supposed to put some pictures on here of Allison and Tucker.
It didn't happen!
So here you go, and I hope you enjoy them.
I think Tucker was telling me "not now dad".

Family Wedding

Our cousin, Jim married Andrea on Saturday. We started out taking some great pictures; but then our batteries died. It was a beautiful wedding - Andrea and her dress both were stunning and because those batteries died I didn't even get a picture of it. I'm attaching a small collage of a few of the pictures I was able to take.
In the pictures you can see Jim (groom), Mike (brother and Best Man) and Holly (sister, bridesmaid) as well as Aunt Chris being walked down the aisle.
And, here's my two handsome men. Tucker was a cuddler at the reception and found his thumb to really knock him out! I wish he'd find that thumb more often - instead of a pacifier. A thumb can't fall out like a pacifier...but then again the pacifier can be taken away in a few years...

Where's Mommy?

This is my first time to post on our new Blog.
As we end our day today just getting home from a wedding of Allison's cousin, Tucker decided to go to bed early, so I really don't know what to do with myself. Usually about this time Tucker and I start to wind down and hang out until he falls asleep in about two hours. So I thought I would check out "the blog scene". I just noticed as I scrolled through our pictures we have of Tucker that Allison is only in two of them. One is the one used for our profile picture and the other is one that we took at the same time and we'll just say didn't turn out that well. So, my goal for tomorrow is to get a few pictures of Tucker and Allison and I make sure they get on here tomorrow night. But for now let me tell you a little about Tuckers mommy that I think he and I would like to share with you.
After 38 long weeks of pregnancy and the last four to five on bed rest at home and the last week in the hospital on bed rest, she did it. She went through a full labor and then had to have a C-section to finish the most incredible thing that I have ever seen in my life, the birth of the BIGGEST and most BEAUTIFUL BLESSING God could have ever given us. And now that we are all home I see that same woman I love turning into a great mom for our son. I love to just watch her hang out with him. And I love to see her face when she gets one of those great rewards that we all look for at this age, a grin or a coo. It just makes me so thankful to God for blessing me with such a wonderful family.
I won't leave you empty handed tonight, hear are a few pictures of Tucker that you might not have seen yet. Until next time, Blessing to you all!
Wait I just found this other picture of when Allison met Tucker for the first time, hope you enjoy.

My BFF - Glo Worm

Tucker has found a new best friend...he is mesmerized by Glo Worm. It is so fun to watch him - now we can't wait until he can figure out to use it with his own hands.
Thanks, Gram & Papaw for my Glo Worm!!

Tuckered Out...

Who's more "tuckered out"? Daddy or Tucker? Is he just the most precious gift or what? (Tucker, well Daddy is too)

Tucker Faces

A couple of the many faces of Tucker Dale. Enjoy!

Daddy Time...

Tucker loves his Daddy time. They already have such a special bond. Sep wanted to do this post; but he has his hands full right now...Tucker loves to cuddle, fuss, cuddle, fuss, etc with Daddy from about 9:30 - 11:30 every night. It's tiring, but Sep really does love this time.

Sep is such a blessing and a help to me...I'm so thankful for a husband who has a very active role with our little boy.

Did Tucker swim today??

What did Tucker do today during all the swimming fun, you ask? Well, of course he's too small to be in the pool and we're still waiting for that cord to finish falling off...so he snuggled in his neat contraption that our friend Tammy gave us. He slept through all the fun!

Well, maybe Mommy was a little jealous...she's still quite pooped and would have loved to take a nap too!!

July 4th Fun!!

We had a beautiful day here today weather speaking and family speaking!
Taylor had lots of courage today - here she JUST jumped into Justin's arms, we're talking full action shot here...
Uncle Sep enjoyed the water lots today too - as you can see!
As did Aaron, the guys all swam with Taylor & Jayna.
Here's Uncle Sep giving Jayna a ride - aren't her goggles the coolest!
Eventually it all came to an end...here's Taylor exiting the pool area...nap time was much needed after a busy pool time!
